Having worked with indigenous shamans since the 1990s, I have learned that there is a different way of eing that we can learn over time. This affects how we perceive and understand the world, and it also changes how we create. We can learn to create from a different state of consciousness that is complete focused awareness, creating out of nothing - the not-knowing, the void is called intuitive art making.
I created a course, The Shaman's Eye for creatives to learn some of these techniques.
In this course is a three part dive into art making from the intution. Shaman’s Eye I am extending a personal invitation for you to join me at the canvas. Together we will start a journey of discovery of painting intuitively, using stencils, mark-making with oil pastels, posca markers, brayers and tools to scrape, scratch back and layer it up. If you want to learn and discover some techniques of perception and learn to trust your creative vision to open your Shaman's Eye.
Following our intuition we can rely on the journey of making to lead us forward.
Many of us long to create from our intuition, but we may feel stuck, or fearful of the blank canvas, or mid-way through start to lose confidence as the images keep changing.
Learn how to overcome these creative obstacles, and move back to a space of balance and confidence and continue the creative freedom of the painting journey.
Everyone is Welcome, you do not have to be an artist to take this class!
Classroom is open now as self-study course. With some paint, inks, crayons and brushes we start layering the canvas ...here is my outdoor art table where I can take a painting and add abstract layers, washes, inks, stencils and more!

Learn how to be spontaneous, follow your heart and mix it up using textures, colors, darks and lights and have fun.
Move from pure abstact into the forms becoming... what beings want to live in the work? Following the thread or bread crumbs that travel thru the landscape of the painting and participate in the creation of an intuitive spiritual painting.
