This was an instagram conversation, and I thought I would share it.
IDS: How do you decide what to paint/draw? Do you set yourself a theme/motif? Meditate on it? šš»š
KW: hi darlin... do you mean any ole thing? That was a doodle. I get so busy with work or creating videos or or or that I can feel internally sort of āYerchā art gasp art gasp then I realize I need to draw, but if itās night and I worked all day, then I just grab my journal š and charcoal or pastel, and start with a color. Many pages can look š like 𤨠but some not too bad.
Now if itās a @ āsacredā piece that dwells deep down as a feeling, that Deep Feeling can be many gestures or forms. So my job is to sift out the āformsā that donāt hold the full potential. Once I worked this way for 2 years before I started painting. And I was practically part of the living picture that developed over that 2 years.
Yes meditate, blog, write, and act out physically... to feel in my body the gesture or form I am contemplating, thumbnails, incubate a dream etc this is for important art š¼, not doodling.
IDS: I meant sacred art š¼ thank you for your insight. šš„°š§š»āāļø
